SBDC – Small Business Development Center

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) organisation is a new brance of the EDC-VDC.

They provide free advise and workshops to small business owners in both Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. This is a good starting point for new business owners who have already made some sales.

SCORE

SCORE is a not for profit organisation that helps small businesses to get off the ground, grow and achieve their goal. To do this they offer education and mentorship programes.

This organisation is supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). It is a part of a network of 12,000+ volunteers. These people offer business consulting services at no charge or at an exceptionaly low cost.

WEV – Women’s Economic Ventures

Women’s Economic Ventures (WEV) programs offer a combinatuon of classroom training, capital  sourcing and one on one technical assistance to support to start-ups. During the growth phase they provide stabiliasation advice. Most of their services are available in both Spanish and English.

SBDC – Small Business Development Center

The SBDC provides free advising and workshops to small business owners in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. Their service will allow you to grow your business and generate the cash you need to be able to expand.

RMDZ-Recycling Market Development Zone Program

The County of Ventura, and ten nearby cities, are part of a state-designated Recycling Market Development Zone (RMDZ). The purpose of this zone is to create local markets for the collection of wast, processing it, manufacturing products using it, and the marketing of products that are made from those recycled materials. Businesses are eligible for assistance if they use recycled materials to make products, or if they reduce the amount of material they use.
